To boldly go where no man has gone before

A single golden route leaves a cluster of familiar paths, loops around an unexplored patchwork planet, and returns carrying a small crystal.

Yesterday when I wrote in the end of my email "Going Anywhere"…

I immediately remembered one of the most iconic phrases of TV:

"Space… the final frontier.
These are the voyages of the starship Enterprise.
Its five-year mission…
to explore strange new worlds, to seek out new life and new civilizations…
to boldly go where no man has gone before"

That's Captain James T. Kirk, played by William Shatner, in his legendary Star Trek opening monologue.

To boldly go where no man has gone before.

You can apply this to your career…

Where is this place, that no one has gone before?

That's what I called yesterday your "super-power".

What is the combination of…
… projects you did
… places you belong
… skills that you have
… problems you solved
… customers you supported
… technologies you used
… failures you suffered
… habbits you built
… people you met

That unique combination…
That is where no man has gone before!

You, boldly
(and sometimes not so boldly…)
went there!

And you are the only one that can came back, and talk about that amazing place, and show the results you came back with.

Only you can help me navigate my way to get there too!

That is your super-power: you can help others to…

boldly go where only {{person.firstName | default: "YOU"}} have gone before!

And because of that…

Only YOU can figure out where "there" is…

My job is to help you recognize where "there" is… and how your unique combination can help others.

I share daily career insights about doing exactly that… subscribe here:
