What reputation looks like…

This week, after I talked about Brazil vs Japan, I got this message, from a non-Brazilian:

Hi Bruno,
Just one thing unrelated to subject.
Brazil has always been admired not only for its
championships and beautiful football,
but also for proving that talent and hard work
can overcome wealth or facilities…
Vai, Brasil!

I loved the Brazil, with z, in the beginning…
and the message "Go Brasil" at the end, with "s", like Brazilians write.
Very intentional…
But that is not here nor there…
What I liked about this message is the reputation…
"Brazil has always been admired"
Not Brazil per se…
The country does not play soccer nor has skill or talent.
"Brazil" does not do hard work…
Brazilians do.
They are the ones that built that reputation.
Even though that this is not always true…
There are Brazilians that don't play soccer (like me…)
Or that are not hard workers…
Yet… The reputation is stronger than the bad apples.
That is why is so important for YOU to build your reputation.
When people believe something about you, it is hard to change whatever belief they have…
So… Better that they believe GOOD things about you!
You don't have full control of your reputation…
Yet… You can influence it.
More… You probably should influence your reputation.
Because if you don't…
People believe whatever they want about you…
And that is also hard to change!
Anyway…
I'm happy that, because I'm Brazilian, my reputation has a bit of a boost for the above subscriber.
Yet…
I'm not planning to leave it at that.
That is why I follow the Reputation Formula:
